I thank you for your interest in Lots of Cuddles & Care. I have been providing child care for a decade and I enjoy every minute of it. I have worked in a center as a pre-toddler teacher and was then promoted to Assistant Director and I began not only working with every age from 6 weeks old to school age, but I also began working side by side with the parents/guardians. It was a very rewarding experience to run a facility that had approximately 100 families enrolled. This center was owned by Children’s Hospital and in 2001, the hospital decided to sell all of the daycare facilities. I then chose to continue teaching and caring for children by opening my own home child care.
I have been blessed with the opportunity to do what I love with a smaller group and find I really enjoy the benefits that a home child care provides. My own children love to help with projects and games when they are not in school.
We are a pet-friendly home. All of our pets are up-to-date on their annual shots & preventatives.
I believe that child care is a partnership that holds the child’s best interest as top priority and I am excited to work with you to ensure that your child is safe, secure and happy.
Our children are the most important priority we have in our lives. It is so important to feel comfortable and secure with the childcare environment you choose. I take pride on providing a safe, comfortable, and educational setting for the children I care for. I also believe that creativity is the key to a rewarding life, so I encourage children to use their imagination whenever possible.
I am certified in Child/Infant CPR and First Aid through the American Heart Association. I also have an Associate’s Degree in professional studies.
I believe in hands-on learning and that is what we practice at Lots of Cuddles & Care. I have introduced a variety of different activities to help the children that I care for learn, grow and have fun. I am currently using different preschool curriculum. We concentrate on numbers, letters, shapes, colors, pre-writing skills, cooking, music and more, focused around a monthly theme. I will inform you of your child’s learning, play and meals so you will know what to ask him/her about at home. I have a large fenced yard for outdoor play.
I would be happy to discuss my Welcome Packet with you during our interview. It contains my handbook, contract, illness policy, etc. References are available in the Enrollment Packet.
I am delighted that you took the time to find out a little information about myself and my child care and I look forward to meeting you and your child!
