I am providing child care during the Elkhorn school year for now but have been flexible to other districts before. I have 4 spots available for all ages (no infants currently enrolled) and I do transportation to Elkhorn Hills Preschool.
Hi, my name is Erin. I am married and have four wonderful children, two girls and two boys. I operate a licensed Family Home II Child Care. I am active within my community and volunteer at my children’s schools as well as with our church, with Cub Scouts and with Girl Scouts. Our home has dedicated space for the child care including a full second kitchen and a fully fenced yard with play area and equipment. My assistant and I are here every day during the school year and emphasize early education which includes the childhood developmental domains of physical, emotional, social and cognitive/language as well as the adaptive domain. All of the activities are geared towards each child’s personal developmental level.
To provide each child the opportunity to grow and learn in a safe and caring environment.
I have been caring for children in my home since 2007 and earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Child and Developmental Psychology from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. I am licensed with the State of Nebraska, participate in the CACFP Food Program, certified through the archdiocese of Omaha in Safe Environment for children, certified through the Boy Scouts of America in Youth Protection, and am CPR/First Aid/AED certified.
EARLY LEARNING PROGRAM:
We follow a daily schedule which includes activities designed to enhance the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive developmental domains. Free play and choice times are also important parts of our days. We cover the concepts of letters, numbers, shapes, animals, sounds, patterns, writing, math, object classification along with manners and various social concepts.
An enrollment handbook is available during initial meeting as well as required enrollment paperwork. Some transportation may be provided.
